This 250 acre equestrian estate was inspired by the aesthetics of Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. who designed the grounds of the owner's East Aurora, NY residence in 1927. Situated in the heart of Wellington, Florida, amid a community of Palm Beach County's most pristine horse country estates, this project provided O'Leary Richards Design with the challenge of renovating an existing oak-lined drive with an updated palette of subtropical ground covers and winter-flowering trees. Broad-leafed palms, climbing philodendrons, colonies of bromeliads and woodland ferns provide the backdrop to a ceremonial entrance which highlights broad vistas across equestrian riding trails and picturesque lakes.
